Remote Senior Data Engineer

Description:

• MNTN is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join their Data team and help build a platform for generating, tracking, managing, and triaging key business and client success metrics.
• The role involves becoming an expert on MNTN's Machine Learning Data Pipelines, Infrastructure, and Processes.
• Responsibilities include collaborating with Data Scientists and Machine Learning engineers to scale model delivery and scoring.
• The Data Engineer will design architecture with observability to maintain high-quality data pipelines.
• The position requires creating and managing ETL/ELT workflows that transform billions of raw data points daily into accessible information across databases and data warehouses.
• The role also involves organizing data and metrics for measurable confidence in building ad buying and ML features and client performance.
• The Data Engineer will organize visualizations, reporting, and alerting to illustrate performance, data quality, trends, and opportunities.
• Investigating critical incidents and ensuring resolution of issues by relevant parties is also part of the job.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 5+ years of experience related to data engineering, analysis, and modeling complex data.
• Experience with distributed processing engines for big data, such as Spark, is required.
• Strong experience with programming languages, particularly Python, and familiarity with algorithms is necessary.
• Experience working with Machine Learning teams and ML delivery pipelines is essential.
• Strong experience in SQL, data modeling, and manipulating and extracting large data sets is required.
• Hands-on experience with data warehouse technologies and familiarity with building data pipelines and designing ETL flows is needed.
• Familiarity with software processes and tools such as Git, CI/CD pipelines, Linux, and Airflow is important.
• Experience working in a cloud computing environment, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, is required.
• Candidates must possess written and verbal communication skills to convey complex technical topics to non-technical audiences.
