As a Senior Data Engineer, you will collaborate with clients, partners, and consultants on research initiatives.
You will help digitize existing assets by parsing semi-structured data and transforming it.
You will work closely with a team of engineers and developers to meet project deadlines.
You will maintain strong relationships with leadership to understand needs, scope projects, and deliver relevant data insights.
You will participate in data privacy training and adhere to data privacy and security guidelines.
Long-term responsibilities include acting as the custodian of the ghSMART Research Database and supporting research publications with data-driven insights.
You will assist in training AI models on sanitized data for advanced analysis.

Requirements:

A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, mathematics, or a related field is required.
A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in data engineering or related roles is required.
Proficiency in Python, specifically the pandas library, is required.
Proficiency in SQL, Azure Databricks, ETLs, and Excel is required.
Experience with source control and writing CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions or equivalent is required.
Preferred experience includes Infrastructure as Code (IAC) with Pulumi or equivalent, and data security management of PII in cloud environments.
Familiarity with visualization tools like Power BI is preferred.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, along with strong project management capabilities, are required.
A proactive, entrepreneurial spirit combined with the discipline to follow a structured data analysis approach is essential.

Compensation includes a base salary of $125,000 - $135,000, an annual discretionary performance bonus, a 401(k) plan with employer contributions, and a comprehensive benefits package.
