Remote Senior Data Engineer

Description:

• Nivoda is looking for a Senior Data Engineer with a focus on building data-driven solutions and experience in AWS/Snowflake, DBT, Data Lake, and Data warehouse technologies.
• The ideal candidate should excel in working with large volumes of data, complex technical contexts, and have a passion for data and analytics.
• Responsibilities include implementing ETL/ELT pipelines, supporting Redshift DWH to Snowflake Migration, collaborating with data scientists on model optimization, deploying and maintaining pipelines, designing data warehouse infrastructure, and working with various teams to support analytics requirements.
• The candidate will also be responsible for data quality, governance, and leveraging open-source technologies for data solutions.

Requirements:

• Must have a total of 8+ years of IT experience with 5+ years in data Integration, ETL/ELT development, Devops, and database/Data Warehouse design.
• Broad expertise in distributed systems, streaming systems, and data engineering tools like Kubernetes, Kafka, Airflow, DBT, Dagster, etc.
• Experience with DevOps technologies such as CI/CD, Terraform, Docker, CloudFormation, and Kubernetes.
• Strong proficiency in databases like Postgres, Redis, and DataOps.
• Deep knowledge of Python, SQL, database design, and master data strategies.
• Familiarity with security concepts, data transformation tools, ETL/ELT technologies, and data ingestion from various sources.
• Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language, along with agile methodologies and version control systems.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment, adapt to changing requirements, and communicate effectively.
