Zencore is a fast-growing company founded by former Google Cloud leaders, architects, and engineers.
The company is seeking candidates with significant experience in Google Cloud to join their team.
The role involves eliminating obstacles, reducing risk, and accelerating timelines for customers transitioning to Google and seeking assistance with data and application modernization.
As a member of the Data Engineering team, you will work with innovative companies, leveraging Cloud as the key driver of their transformation.
You will be viewed as a trusted advisor, helping customers along their journey on Google Cloud.
The position requires covering a large spectrum of technology topics including ETL/ELT, Data Warehousing, Distributed Data Processing, and Streaming Data systems.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 5+ years of experience serving as a data engineer or in a comparable engineering capacity.
Strong skills in Python or a JVM language (Java, Scala) are required.
Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience with relational databases, including query authoring (SQL), is necessary.
Experience with cloud data warehouses, specifically BigQuery or Snowflake, is essential.
Candidates should have experience working with data platforms built on public cloud in a production setting.
Familiarity with GCP native data toolset is preferred.
Experience in building ELT or ETL pipelines processing large amounts of data is required, with a preference for experience with dbt or Airbyte.
Candidates should have experience developing production Spark or Hadoop applications.
Experience with workload scheduling and orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow/Cloud Composer is necessary.
Familiarity with modern DataOps practices and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform is required.
Candidates should be comfortable learning new tools and recommending those that have been effective in their experience.
Experience with batch, micro-batch, and real-time streaming architectures is necessary.
Good internal and customer-facing communication skills are required.
Experience with relational database management systems and change data capture (CDC) is a plus.
