Description:
LivePerson is seeking a highly skilled Database Administrator / Data Engineer to join their team.
The role involves designing, building, and maintaining infrastructure and systems for data acquisition, storage, and processing.
The primary focus will be on developing robust data pipelines, data warehouses, and ETL processes to support data-driven initiatives.
Responsibilities include ensuring data security and integrity, monitoring database performance, troubleshooting issues, and performing upgrades and migrations.
The position requires leading the development and implementation of data governance frameworks to ensure data quality and consistency.
The Data Engineer will collaborate with business stakeholders to design and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports.
Advanced data modeling techniques will be utilized to integrate complex data sources into cohesive models.
The role advocates for best practices in data visualization and analysis methodologies.
The Data Engineer will serve as a subject matter expert in Power BI reporting and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve data integration and reporting capabilities.
Requirements:
Candidates must have a demonstrated ability to independently uncover insights across datasets.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in analyzing data and creating dashboards and reports, with a preference for Power BI.
At least 5 years of experience interpreting and writing advanced SQL, preferably with Snowflake.
Familiarity with Hadoop technologies, specifically Vertica and Impala, is required.
Experience in database design, normalization, and optimization is essential.
The ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being a self-starter is necessary.
Excellent communication and presentation skills are required for this position.
