Description:

Rad AI is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join their engineering team to support large client growth and enhance data collection systems, pipelines, and management tools.
The role involves designing and implementing data architecture for scalability, flexibility, and efficiency using tools like Metaflow and technologies like Spark.
Responsibilities include defining internal standards for data platform maintenance, collaborating with researchers to understand data needs, and developing solutions.
The engineer will take ownership of key projects, ensuring data quality, integrity, and security through robust validation and monitoring.
The position requires evaluating and recommending data technologies to improve engineering processes and continuously monitoring data infrastructure performance.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 4+ years of relevant experience in data engineering.
Expertise in designing and developing distributed data pipelines using big data technologies on large-scale datasets is required.
Applicants should have deep experience in maintaining and documenting reliable and scalable data infrastructure in complex environments.
Solid experience with AWS big data processing and analytics, including services like Amazon EMR and AWS Batch, is necessary.
Experience with large-scale data processing technologies such as Spark and workflow orchestration tools like Metaflow is essential.
Proficiency in various database technologies, including SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., AWS DynamoDB, ElasticSearch, Postgresql), is required.
Hands-on experience with containerization technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes, is needed.
Prior software engineering experience is considered a significant advantage.
