Description:
Jobber is seeking a highly skilled and intrapreneurial Senior Data Engineer with a strong backend focus to lead the development and evolution of their Data Integration Platform.
The role involves designing and maintaining scalable data pipelines, ensuring seamless data operations with integrity.
The Senior Data Engineer will develop automated tools and frameworks to empower internal teams, enhancing workflow efficiencies and enabling data-driven decision-making.
Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to drive business growth by extracting actionable insights from data and continuously innovating the data infrastructure.
The position is remote in Canada, allowing flexibility in work location.
The Customer Information Automation team focuses on leveraging cloud-based architectural patterns, ensuring partners and supporting systems have timely access to information.

Requirements:
Proficiency in designing, developing, and maintaining efficient batch and real-time data pipelines within a cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS.
Strong skills in SQL, stream processing, containerization (ECS orchestration), and AWS Lambda to create reliable and scalable data solutions.
Deep understanding of data warehousing principles, including dimensional modeling and star schemas.
Experience with CI/CD practices and optimizing data flow within high-volume, scalable infrastructures.
Ability to explain complex data concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Skill in working cross-functionally with teams to meet data needs and contribute to data-driven decision-making.
It would be beneficial to have experience with Data Catalog tools, AWS S3 & Glue, Apache Iceberg, and FiveTran, as well as familiarity with Kafka for real-time stream processing and message queuing.
