• The position is hybrid for those located in Cairo or fully remote for international contractors.
• It is a long-term (one-year renewable) contract position with payments made in gross amount in USD on a monthly schedule.
• Responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines, implementing data integration strategies, and collaborating with stakeholders to understand data requirements.
• The role also involves supporting cloud-native data technologies, optimizing stream processing frameworks, ensuring data quality and governance, and mentoring junior engineers.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is required.
• Candidates must have a minimum of 8 years of experience as a Data Engineer, focusing on cloud-based data platforms and big data technologies.
• Proven experience with distributed data processing systems such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, or Flink is necessary.
• Hands-on experience with real-time data streaming technologies like Kafka or Pulsar is required.
• Expertise in cloud data solutions (AWS, GCP, Azure) and modern data lake technologies (Delta Lake, Apache Hudi) is essential.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Scala, or Java is needed.
• A strong understanding of data modeling for both structured and unstructured data is required.
• Familiarity with DevOps and DataOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, is necessary.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Kubernetes is preferred.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are essential.
• Fluency in English and/or Arabic is required.
