Description:

Float is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join their team, which is fully remote and spans across the globe.
The role involves integrating AI-driven pattern detection into Float's Resource Recommendation Engine to enhance decision-making for professional service teams.
Responsibilities include leading technical discussions, developing proof-of-concepts, analyzing existing data, and evaluating the data streaming pipeline.
The engineer will also design and maintain streaming data architecture, establish best practices, mentor team members, and stay updated with industry trends.

Requirements:

Candidates must have expertise in Machine Learning, expert systems, and advanced algorithms, with applied experience in Scheduling, Recommendations, or Personalization.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or Java, and familiarity with SQL and Javascript/Typescript is required.
Experience with large-scale data pipelines and stream processing technologies like Kafka, Debezium, or Flink is essential.
Skills in data integration, cleaning, and validation are necessary for data governance.
Familiarity with vector and graph databases, such as Neo4j, is preferred.
Strong written communication skills and the ability to document and collaborate effectively in a global team are important.
Candidates should possess problem-solving skills, team engagement abilities, and a commitment to continuous growth and learning.
Previous remote work experience and comfort with asynchronous communication tools are required.
