Description:

The company is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain data pipelines that will power AI models and user analytics for an evolved dating app.
The role involves handling large-scale data ingestion, transformation, and storage using AWS services.
Responsibilities include designing and building data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and storage using AWS services such as Glue, Kinesis, and Redshift.
The Data Engineer will ensure data quality and reliability across data processing and storage layers.
Collaboration with the AI/ML team is essential to provide clean, well-structured data for model training and inference.
The role requires optimizing data pipelines for scalability and performance.
Implementing data governance, security, and compliance measures to protect user data is a key responsibility.
Monitoring data flows and troubleshooting issues in real-time to ensure system reliability is also part of the job.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, with expertise in building data pipelines using AWS.
Proficiency in data processing frameworks and tools, such as Apache Spark, AWS Glue, and Kinesis, is required.
A strong understanding of ETL processes and data architecture design is necessary.
Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, including DynamoDB and Redshift, is essential.
Candidates should have a strong understanding of data privacy and security best practices.
Experience with big data technologies and real-time data processing is also required.
