Remote Senior Data Engineer

Description:

• Ibility, a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business and a Woman-Owned Small Business, is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to support the Integrated Informatics and Analytics Program under the Office of Integrated Care.
• The role involves developing, optimizing, and expanding data and data pipeline architecture, designing data integrations and quality frameworks, and working with various teams to enhance data platform architecture.
• Responsibilities include building analytics tools, supporting data initiatives, collaborating with stakeholders, conducting data engineering projects, and ensuring data quality and accessibility.
• The Senior Data Engineer will also engage with senior leadership, conduct stakeholder analysis, develop data tools, and contribute to data-related technical solutions.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or Data Science.
• Deep understanding of data architecture, machine learning, or advanced analytics.
• Certifications related to data engineering or cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure.
• Minimum of 7 years experience in data pipeline architecture, ETL processes, data warehouse design, and Cloud platforms.
• Proficiency in programming languages (Python, Java, Scala, SQL), data warehousing, data governance, and data visualization tools.
• Excellent communication skills, emotional intelligence, and experience in supporting large healthcare corporations or healthcare government agencies.
• Public sector experience, particularly within the Department of Veterans Affairs, is preferred.
