Description:

  • The Senior Data Engineer will support clients in architectural design, implementation, and research of complex data integration setups.
  • This role involves providing data consumers with the necessary data for their data models and ensuring continuous delivery on projects.
  • The engineer will periodically review the current tech stack decisions and challenge components from operational, security, and cost perspectives.
  • The focus of projects is primarily on digital marketing, with potential expansion into new areas.
  • Responsibilities include steering clients with technical and communication skills, guiding them to become data-mature, and evangelizing best practices.
  • The engineer will envision target architecture and implementation plans, ensure adherence to clean coding and best practices, and conduct workshops to identify new data opportunities.
  • Additional tasks include sales pitching, training organization, data product ownership, and data privacy management.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have at least 5+ years of experience in a data engineering role, preferably in a digital agency environment.
  • Hands-on experience with projects such as data migration, data platform setup, end-to-end analytics and reporting setup, data warehouse setup, data activation, data quality, and data governance is required.
  • Proficiency in GCP (Google Cloud Platform) is necessary, with experience in Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, Cloud Monitoring & Logging, Beam, Tentacles, and Pub/Sub preferred.
  • Candidates should have fluent Python and SQL skills with real-life project experience.
  • Experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow and DBT is required.
  • Familiarity with major analytical data warehouses like BigQuery, Redshift, Snowflake, Databricks, or Synapse is a plus.
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, Adverity, Fivetran, Looker, PBI, Tableau, RDBMS, Redis, and Kafka is considered a bonus.
  • Candidates must be located in the Netherlands and available to start working immediately.
  • A fair, kind, and reliable demeanor, openness to feedback, and a sense of responsibility are essential.
  • Proficiency in the English language is required.
