As a Senior Data Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures to support business intelligence, analytics, and machine learning.
You will ensure efficient data processing, integration, and storage while collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize workflows and enhance decision-making.
The position is remote and can be either an employment or contractor contract type.

Requirements:

You must have over 4 years of experience in a Data Engineer or similar role with a demonstrated ability to deliver large-scale data solutions.
Extensive experience with SQL, including advanced queries, is required.
Proficiency in Python for data engineering tasks, including custom data processing and automation, is necessary.
In-depth experience with Apache Spark and Apache Kafka for distributed and batch data processing is essential.
Hands-on experience with Apache Airflow for managing data workflows is required.
Solid experience with AWS (or another cloud provider) is necessary.
Proficiency in GitLab for version control and CI/CD pipelines is required.
Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes is essential.
Experience with DBT for data modeling and transformation is necessary.
Proficiency in Shell scripting is required.
Strong analytical skills and experience working with large, complex datasets are essential.
Effective communication skills with the ability to think strategically and understand broader impacts beyond individual tasks are necessary.
Experience working in client-facing roles, engaging with stakeholders to gather requirements and present data solutions is required.
You should have the capability to mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
