Remote Senior Data Engineer

Description:

• Oowlish is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join their high-impact team in San José, Costa Rica, with the option for remote work.
• The role involves designing, developing, and managing data pipelines using Apache Airflow.
• Candidates will write clean, efficient code in Python to support scalable ETL/ELT processes.
• The engineer will own and evolve internal data infrastructure and integration pipelines.

• Collaboration with global teammates in English across product and engineering is essential.
• The position requires operating independently while contributing to technical direction and architecture.
• Candidates must be available to work during EST hours to align with the core team.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in data engineering or similar technical roles.
• Advanced-level experience in Python programming is required.
• Proven hands-on knowledge of Apache Airflow is essential.
• A background working in small teams or startups is preferred.
• Candidates should be comfortable working autonomously and owning complete solutions.
• Conversational English is necessary for team collaboration.
• Availability to work within the EST time zone is required.
• Candidates must be located in Brazil or be open to working in a similar time zone.
