Description:

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will ensure the quality, integrity, and security of Kin’s data assets.
You will be responsible for building a data lakehouse for enterprise reporting, which includes designing and developing data pipelines, modeling raw data for reporting, and ensuring data warehouse quality assurance.
Daily tasks may involve working with cross-functional teams to design effective reporting solutions, implementing data validation standards, and maintaining a centralized metadata catalog.
You will establish relationships with stakeholders, assess data source effectiveness, design scalable data models, optimize database configurations, and conduct root cause analyses.
Requirements:
You must have experience in data engineering with a focus on warehousing.
Familiarity with data pipeline tools and platforms such as dbt, Databricks, FiveTran, Kafka, and AWS is required.
Experience with various data ingestion methods, including API ingestion, CDC replication, and JSON ingestion, is necessary.
Proficiency in programming languages such as SQL, Python, and/or Java is essential.
Previous experience with databases like AWS Redshift, MySQL, Postgres, and SQL Server is required.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills are necessary to engage with stakeholders at different organizational levels.
