The Senior Data Engineer will be a key member of the Enterprise Data and Technology (EDT) team, responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining sophisticated software/data platforms.
The role involves leading the design and implementation of scalable data architectures, developing data pipelines, and overseeing database management.
Responsibilities include establishing data quality standards, providing mentorship to junior engineers, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
The position requires active participation in code reviews and performance monitoring of data pipelines.
The engineer will contribute to architectural decisions and lead technology efforts for large initiatives.

Requirements:

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field is required.
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in data engineering, focusing on data architecture, ETL, and database management.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python/Pyspark and Java/Scala is essential.
Expertise in big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka is required.
In-depth knowledge of SQL and experience with various database technologies (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, NoSQL) is necessary.
Experience in building complex end-to-end data pipelines and familiarity with orchestration tools like Jenkins and Airflow is needed.
Candidates should be able to work in an Agile environment and have the ability to mentor junior team members.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their data services is preferred.
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills are essential, along with excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
