• Traction Ag is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join their growing Engineering team, focusing on revolutionizing farm management through cloud-based software solutions.
• The role involves writing software for a farm management platform that integrates operational data, financials, and machine data.
• Responsibilities include developing and supporting third-party integrations, ETL data processing jobs, and new Rest APIs.
• The engineer will build internal data visualization dashboards, perform analysis and design of SQL queries, and produce scripts for data management.
• The position requires performing data analysis as needed and contributing to the overall efficiency and profitability of agricultural operations.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have working experience with Java, JavaScript, and Python.
• Experience with databases such as MySQL, Oracle, and PostgreSQL using persistence frameworks is required.
• Applicants should have experience working with agile teams and collaborating with business users to gather and analyze requirements.
• Knowledge of geospatial processing tasks, including building databases from imagery and writing Geoprocessing Python and SQL scripts, is necessary.
• Familiarity with AWS and other cloud service platforms, as well as big data concepts and technologies, is expected.
