The Senior Data Engineer will lead the design and implementation of scalable, efficient, and robust data architectures to meet business needs and analytical requirements.
Responsibilities include collaborating with stakeholders to understand data requirements, designing and developing data pipelines, and overseeing database management and optimization.
The role involves establishing data quality standards, providing mentorship to junior team members, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver data solutions.
The engineer will implement monitoring systems to track data pipeline performance and ensure adherence to software engineering best practices.
The position requires active contribution to the end-to-end delivery of complex software applications and maintaining the overall reliability and performance of systems.

Requirements:

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field is required.
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in data engineering, focusing on data architecture, ETL, and database management.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python/PySpark and Java/Scala is essential.
Expertise in big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka is required.
In-depth knowledge of SQL and experience with various database technologies, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, and NoSQL databases, is necessary.
Experience in building complex end-to-end data pipelines and using CI/CD tools like Jenkins and Airflow is required.
Candidates should be able to work in an Agile environment and have the ability to mentor junior team members.
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP and their data services is important.
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, along with excellent communication and collaboration abilities, are required.
