Description:

Brightwheel is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join their Data Engineering team.
The role involves implementing and evolving the data platform and partnering with technical leadership to craft and implement the data strategy.
Responsibilities include building and scaling data pipelines that transform billions of records into measurable data for insights.
The position requires using modern tooling to build a robust, extensible, and performant data platform.
The Senior Data Engineer will build reliable data acquisition and integration solutions to meet business requirements and reporting needs.
The role includes delivering best-in-class application reporting solutions for customers and troubleshooting, improving, and scaling existing data pipelines, models, and solutions.
The engineer will also build upon data engineering's CI/CD deployments and infrastructure-as-code for provisioning AWS services.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 3+ years of work experience as a data engineer, dev ops, or software engineering, with coding experience in Python.
A minimum of 1+ years of experience deploying data processing infrastructure as code into AWS or a cloud environment is required.
Candidates should have at least 1+ years of experience streaming real-time data into a data lake or lake house architecture.
An advanced understanding of at least one big data processing technology (e.g., Spark, Hadoop, HDFS, Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake) is necessary.
Demonstrated ability in writing and analyzing highly complex SQL queries to optimize performance is required.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills to manage complex processes and technology issues with minimal guidance are essential.
