Description:
We are seeking a senior data engineer to oversee the design and deployment of a data warehouse for a fast-growing organization.
This position focuses on managing the end-to-end implementation, including data exploration, architecture design, ETL processes, and business intelligence (BI) reporting.
The role will involve working with various internal stakeholders to ensure the data warehouse meets operational, compliance, and strategic needs.
Key responsibilities include leading the implementation of a data warehouse/data lake, executing the full project lifecycle, collaborating with business units, ensuring data governance, coordinating with technical teams, working with BI tools, providing leadership in managing ETL processes, and training client teams.
Requirements:
Strong understanding of data warehouse implementation, including designing architecture, managing ETL processes, and integrating with business intelligence platforms.
Strong expertise in cloud-based data warehousing solutions, preferably with experience using Microsoft Azure, SQL databases, and Spark.
Familiarity with BI tools such as PowerBI or Tableau, with the ability to design and deploy dashboards.
Solid knowledge of data governance, compliance standards (HIPAA), and best practices in data security.
Hands-on experience with data integration and ETL tools (e.g., SSIS, Airflow, or similar).
Strong communication and collaboration skills to interact effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Proven ability to lead projects and deliver results within tight timelines.
Preferred qualifications include experience working in healthcare and experience with large-scale data migrations and cloud-based solutions.
