Description:

Data Ideology is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join their remote team.
The Senior Data Engineer will develop production-ready data models by integrating multiple data sources.
This role involves collaborating with business and technical teams to understand business strategy and objectives.
The engineer will gather information and ensure business requirements are fulfilled throughout the data and analytics lifecycle.
Key responsibilities include collecting and understanding business requirements, translating them into actionable data warehouse plans, and identifying solutions using multi-dimensional and tabular design patterns.
The engineer must work within the SDLC framework and understand the complexities of data warehouse development.
They will define and implement best practices across database design and ETL, and direct the work of others in ETL development.

Requirements:

Candidates must have a proven understanding of Data Warehousing, Data Architecture, and Business Intelligence.
Experience with data pipelines and architecture/engineering is required.
Knowledge of modern applications and data platforms is necessary.
Candidates should have experience with cloud-based project implementation.
Proficiency in Python or Java is a plus.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in BI/Data Warehousing is required.
At least 2 years of experience with cloud platforms is necessary.
Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in ETL and SQL.
Knowledge of Data Modeling and Data Vault Modeling is required.
Banking and consulting experience is a plus.
