Remote Senior Data Engineer

Description:

• Thrive Market is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join their Data Engineering team.
• The role involves working on structured/semi-structured/Complex data processing and streaming frameworks.
• Responsibilities include orchestrating and delivering cohesive data engineering solutions, data ingestion, processing, ETL, and data delivery for reporting.
• The Senior Data Engineer will collaborate with technical teams, troubleshoot data integrity and performance issues, and ensure data architecture meets business needs.
• Qualifications include hands-on experience in Python, Scala, or Java, expertise in RDBMS and Data Warehousing, and knowledge of data architecture patterns.
• The role also requires experience with data lake/big data analytics platforms, high volumes of data, CI/CD tools, Kafka, AWS Kinesis, and Big Data technologies like Hadoop and Spark.
• The ideal candidate should have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, experience with Agile delivery environments, and strong communication skills.

Requirements:

• Hands-on experience programming in Python, Scala, or Java.
• Expertise with RDBMS and Data Warehousing (Strong SQL) with Redshift, Snowflake, or similar.
• In-depth knowledge and experience with data and information architecture patterns.
• Proficiency in logical/physical data architecture, design, and development.
• Experience in Data lake/Big data analytics platform implementation, preferably AWS.
• Experience with high volumes of data and distributed data applications.
• Experience with CI/CD tools, Kafka, AWS Kinesis, and Big Data technologies like Hadoop and Spark.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, Agile delivery experience, and excellent communication skills.
