The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for building data applications and delivering high-quality code with a focus on performance and scalability.
The role involves designing architecture in collaboration with the Tech Lead and continuously improving personal skills for optimal team performance.
The data stack primarily utilizes Python and SQL, along with technologies such as Dagster, Docker, Rabbit MQ, dbt, Superset, dltHub, ClickHouse, and Cube.
Responsibilities include designing, implementing, and maintaining a Data Lake and Data Warehouse, working closely with Product and Infrastructure teams, delivering clean and maintainable code, and collaborating with teammates for high-quality solutions.
The position requires working in an Agile environment as part of a high-performance SCRUM team and conducting peer reviews to achieve the best results.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 3+ years of experience working with Python or Scala.
A minimum of 3+ years of experience in designing and implementing data platforms is required.
Experience with dbt, Superset, and Apache Airflow is necessary.
As an added bonus, experience with ingestion platforms like Fivetran, dlt, or Airbyte is preferred.
Familiarity with streaming platforms such as Apache Kafka is a plus.
Experience with query engines like AWS Athena, Hive, SparkSQL, or similar technologies is advantageous.
Candidates should have experience in designing data lakes in Amazon S3 and familiarity with Hadoop, Apache Spark, Flink, or similar technologies.
Knowledge of data quality processes and prior experience in eCommerce is beneficial.
