Description:

The Senior Data Engineer position at Brightwheel involves playing a key role in implementing and evolving the data platform.
Responsibilities include partnering with technical leadership to craft and implement the data strategy, building and scaling data pipelines, and transforming billions of records into measurable data for insights.
The role requires using modern tooling to build a robust, extensible, and performant data platform.
The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for building data acquisition and integration solutions, delivering application reporting solutions for customers, troubleshooting, improving, and scaling existing data pipelines, and building upon data engineering's CI/CD deployments.
The position also involves deploying infrastructure as code into AWS, streaming real-time data into a data lake architecture, and writing and analyzing complex SQL queries.

Requirements:

3+ years of work experience as a data engineer/dev ops/software engineering, with coding experience in Python.
1+ years of experience deploying data processing infrastructure as Code into AWS/cloud environment.
1+ years of experience streaming real-time data into a data lake/lake house architecture.
Advanced understanding of big data processing technologies like Spark, Hadoop, HDFS, Redshift, BigQuery, or Snowflake.
Demonstrated ability in writing and analyzing highly complex SQL queries for performance optimization.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills to manage complex process and technology issues.

Competitive compensation package ranging from $123,000 to $189,000 a year, including base salary, equity, and benefits.
