Oowlish is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join their high-impact team in Recife, Pernambuco, Brazil, with the option for remote work.
The role involves designing, developing, and managing data pipelines using Apache Airflow.
Candidates will write clean, efficient code in Python to support scalable ETL/ELT processes.
The engineer will own and evolve internal data infrastructure and integration pipelines.
Responsibilities include monitoring and ensuring data quality, reliability, and performance.
Collaboration with global teammates in English across product and engineering is essential.
The position requires operating independently while contributing to technical direction and architecture.
Candidates must be available to work during EST hours to align with the core team.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in data engineering or similar technical roles.
Advanced-level experience in Python programming is required.
Proven hands-on knowledge of Apache Airflow is essential.
A background working in small teams or startups is preferred.
Candidates should be comfortable working autonomously and owning complete solutions.
Conversational English is necessary for team collaboration.
Availability to work within the EST time zone is required.
Candidates must be located in Brazil or be open to working in a similar time zone.
