  • We are currently partnering with a fast-growing tech company to scale their AI-enhanced data platform, and weโ€™re looking for a Senior Data Engineer to be a key part of that journey.
  • As a Senior Data Engineer, youโ€™ll report to the Head of Data Engineering and play a key role in building secure, cost-effective, and scalable data systems.
  • Youโ€™ll work across data ingestion, transformation, and AI integration efforts, powering both internal analytics and external product features.
  • Key responsibilities include building and maintaining secure, high-performance data pipelines, designing data solutions for operational and analytical use cases, contributing to our AI-driven data strategy, and integrating third-party and internal data sources.
  • You will collaborate with product teams on data contracts, SLAs, and transformations, use infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD to automate and scale pipelines, and support and maintain dashboards and analytics tools like Power BI and Tableau.
  • Monitoring data systems to ensure reliability and data quality, staying updated on new data technologies, and mentoring junior engineers are also part of your role.

Requirements:

  • You should have 7+ years of experience in data engineering, including ETL, big data, Spark/PySpark, and data warehousing.
  • A minimum of 5+ years working with databases and query languages such as SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and DynamoDB is required.
  • You must have 5+ years of experience working with cloud platforms, especially AWS.
  • Strong experience with Python (including PySpark and Pandas) and the ability to write clean, maintainable code is essential.
  • Solid knowledge of OLAP/OLTP architectures and performance tuning is necessary.
  • Experience in preparing data for analytics and managing structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data is required.
  • Hands-on experience with BI tools like Power BI or Tableau is expected.
  • Familiarity with Linux and command-line tools is important.
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD tools such as Terraform and CircleCI is required.
  • A background in microservices and event-driven architecture is a plus.
  • You should be a strong communicator, especially in async and remote-first settings, and be passionate about team collaboration, technical excellence, and continuous improvement.
