Description:

  • The Senior Data Engineer will be a key technical contributor, responsible for building and maintaining data pipelines and infrastructure.
  • The role involves shaping and implementing the data roadmap, enhancing pipeline structure, robustness, and testing, while overseeing cloud infrastructure.
  • Ensuring data quality, governance, and security best practices is essential.
  • The engineer will collaborate with other engineers, product managers, and team members to make quick, effective decisions that drive business outcomes.
  • Fostering a positive and ambitious team culture within the Data team is also a key responsibility.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 6+ years of experience in data engineering.
  • Expertise in at least one high-level programming language such as Python, Julia, R, Matlab, or Go is required.
  • Familiarity with terraform, cloud logs, and SQL databases is necessary.
  • Experience with production systems and CI/CD processes is expected.
  • Candidates should be comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment and have a bias for action.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills are essential.
  • Regardless of experience, candidates should be able to communicate effectively with engineers, data scientists, and other business disciplines.
  • Strong social and emotional intelligence, empathy, and problem-solving skills are important.

Benefits:

  • The position offers a salary range of £75,000 - £105,000, classified under Ravio Band: P4.
