Remote Senior Data Engineer

Description:

• The Senior Data Engineer will work with scrum teams to deliver product stories based on customer priorities and Product Owners' guidance.
• This role involves interacting with stakeholders and providing knowledge transfer to other team members.
• The engineer will work with big data pipelines into Microsoft BI technologies as a BI Developer.
• The position is fully remote and part of the Mexico Product Delivery team at 3Pillar Global.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure and technologies, including DMS, Glue, and Step Functions.
• Knowledge in RDBMS is required.
• Strong experience in Python and Typescript is essential.
• Candidates should be knowledgeable in data workload/job orchestration and batch automation technologies, including Linux shell scripting and process orchestration tools.
• Experience in designing and building data environments to support reporting and analytics, including data integrations and flow between disparate data systems, is necessary.
• Experience with data modeling, data engineering, and/or data warehouse building is required.
• The candidate should be a self-starter with the ability to work with minimal direction.
• Strong analytical skills and critical thinking abilities are essential, along with strong communication (verbal/written) and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in AWS data pipelines within a financial organization is required.
• Experience in writing, troubleshooting, and optimizing T-SQL queries is necessary.
• Familiarity with Azure SQL is required.
• Experience in designing and implementing Microsoft Power BI datasets, reports, and dashboards is essential.
• Candidates should have experience using SQL Server Management Studio and/or Azure Data Studio.
• Additional desired experience includes knowledge of Informatica and Teradata, use of ActiveBatch process orchestration tool, and data visualization experience.
