Remote Senior Data Engineer (m/f/d)

Description:

• As a Senior Data Engineer at ABOUT YOU, you will be a key member of the Reporting and Data Science team, responsible for developing and maintaining a robust data platform that supports various stakeholders such as finance, logistics, and marketing.
• Your role involves designing, building, and maintaining high-performance, scalable data pipelines while creating automated monitoring systems to ensure data integrity.
• You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs, lead the migration of data infrastructure from legacy systems, and set data engineering standards within the team.
• The challenge includes transitioning from legacy systems to a new, high-performance data platform while minimizing disruptions and optimizing performance.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a MINT-related field or equivalent experience.
• Extensive experience in building and maintaining large-scale data pipelines.
• Proficiency in data orchestration and processing tools like Apache Airflow, Google Cloud Dataflow, or Metaflow.
• Strong expertise in SQL, especially in big data environments, and a solid background in software engineering with a focus on Python development.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, ability to work independently, manage projects with multiple stakeholders, and a pragmatic problem solver.
