We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our data team at SoSafe, a leading cybersecurity startup in Europe.
The role involves designing, building, and maintaining robust data pipelines and infrastructure to support rapid business growth.
You will collaborate closely with product, analytics, and other teams to deliver data-driven solutions that enhance customer experiences.
The position requires taking ownership of the data infrastructure, driving best practices, and ensuring data reliability and performance.
You will democratize data access by building scalable and secure data delivery mechanisms.
Ensuring data pipeline reliability through robust monitoring, alerting, and CI/CD practices is essential.
Staying up-to-date with advancements in data engineering and evaluating new technologies to enhance data capabilities is part of the role.
Active participation in technical discussions, code reviews, and decision-making processes is expected.
You will need to effectively align stakeholder expectations and communicate technical concepts clearly.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 5+ years of experience building and maintaining end-to-end data pipelines and infrastructure on AWS.
Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and data engineering tools such as DMS, Airflow, and dbt is required, along with experience in building event-driven architectures.
A solid understanding of DevOps practices, including Terraform and CI/CD, as well as data warehouse management, is necessary.
Experience with data quality and governance practices is essential.
Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues are required.
Candidates should possess strong strategic thinking and a solution-oriented mindset.
The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a drive for continuous learning and adaptability to evolving challenges is important.
A proactive self-starter with a strong sense of ownership is preferred.
Fluency in English is required, and knowledge of German is optional.
