  • The Engineering & Data team builds innovative tech products and platforms to support the growth of gaming and consumer apps.
  • The Ad-Network Team, consisting of around 30 members, includes software engineers, infrastructure engineers, data engineers, mobile engineers, and data scientists.
  • The team's goal is to enable Voodoo to monetize its inventory directly with advertising partners using advanced technological solutions for real-time bidding.
  • This Senior Data Engineer role can be performed fully remote in any EMEA country.
  • Responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and secure data platforms, building and managing data pipelines, and optimizing lakehouse solutions.
  • The role also involves leading the design and implementation of data infrastructure components, ensuring data quality and compliance, and automating infrastructure provisioning.
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams and mentoring of data engineers are key aspects of the position.
  • The engineer will monitor performance issues and stay updated on trends in data engineering.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have extensive experience in data engineering or platform engineering roles.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and Java are required.
  • A strong background with modern data stacks such as Spark, Kafka, DBT, Airflow, and Lakehouse is essential.
  • A deep understanding of distributed systems, data architecture, and performance tuning is necessary.
  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure and Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation is required.
  • Solid experience operating data services in Kubernetes, including Helm and resource tuning, is needed.
  • A strong understanding of data modeling, governance, and security best practices is essential.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD principles and DevOps practices in a data environment is required.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills are necessary for this role.
