This is a remote contract position for those based in Poland.
NearForm builds digital products that enhance user experiences and help enterprises improve their workflows and customer experiences.
The company is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to help enterprise clients translate their requirements into functional applications.
Responsibilities include designing and building cloud-based data pipelines and data warehousing solutions using GCP, Python, Fast API, and Pydantic.
The role involves supporting system design, development, and maintenance while ensuring personal technical quality standards.
The engineer will assist in defining structured practices in source code management, building, and deployment.
Responsibilities also include designing and implementing data storage solutions, executing automated tests, troubleshooting applications, and optimizing for speed and scalability.
The engineer will collaborate with client teams, support the Delivery Architect, write documentation, and contribute to NearForm tooling and open-source projects.
The role requires understanding and embracing the NearForm culture.
Requirements:
Candidates must have experience delivering at a Senior Data Engineer level in an enterprise environment.
Practical experience in an agile environment is required.
A deep understanding of code, particularly in Python and SQL, is essential.
Production experience with Snowflake platforms is necessary.
Candidates should have a deep understanding of ELT/ETL pipelines, relational and document data stores, and modern web services.
Familiarity with modern testing methodologies, version control tools like Git, and security and performance considerations is required.
Understanding of architectural and design patterns in AWS, GCP, or Azure is necessary.
Candidates should have knowledge of deployment tools and systems integration, as well as a variety of open-source technologies.
Excellent analytical, multitasking, communication, and collaboration skills are essential.
