Atimi is seeking an experienced senior data engineer for a fully remote position in Canada, with EST working hours.
The role involves building and maintaining database infrastructure using software engineering best practices and data management fundamentals.
Responsibilities include working closely with stakeholders to understand requirements, designing solutions, analyzing source systems, and defining data sources and transformation requirements.
The engineer will build and maintain systems and datasets for analysts and scientists to generate actionable insights.
A passion for quality and productivity is essential, along with peer reviews of work and mentoring junior team members.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 6+ years of experience in data engineering.
A minimum of 4+ years of experience with Python is required.
Candidates should have at least 3+ years of experience with Apache Airflow.
A minimum of 2+ years of experience with Amazon Redshift is necessary.
Proficiency in SQL and Data Modelling is required.
Experience in building and optimizing ETL pipelines involving large volumes of data (PB) is essential.
Familiarity with AWS services such as Lambda, Step Functions, S3, IAM Roles, SQS, and SNS is required.
Proficiency in PostgreSQL and MySQL is necessary.
Good interpersonal and communication skills are essential, with the ability to work with different teams for sourcing data.
