The company is looking for a Senior Data Engineer in LATAM.

The Senior Data Engineer will work at the core of the engineering team, designing and maintaining complex backend systems and data pipelines that power mission-critical applications.
This is a hands-on position involving everything from architecture to deployment and performance tuning.
The role includes designing and maintaining scalable backend systems and data pipelines for batch and real-time processing.
The engineer will own full project lifecycles from architecture through deployment and monitoring.
Collaboration with product managers, UX designers, and engineering teams is essential to deliver high-quality, data-driven solutions.
The engineer will write clean, testable, and well-documented code following best software engineering practices.
Responsibilities also include reviewing code, defining technical direction, and enforcing coding standards.
Mentoring fellow engineers and contributing to knowledge-sharing across the team is expected.
Continuous improvement of system performance and identification of opportunities for technical enhancement is part of the role.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 8+ years of experience in data engineering or related backend roles, preferably in Agile environments.
Proficiency in Scala and distributed data processing tools such as Apache Spark is required.
A deep understanding of PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, and scalable NoSQL solutions like ScyllaDB is necessary.
Experience with CI/CD (Jenkins), containerization (Docker), and cloud infrastructure (AWS) is essential.
Familiarity with Airflow, Hive, Redis, and Kafka for data orchestration and streaming is required.
The ability to design secure, maintainable systems and lead large-scale infrastructure projects is necessary.
Strong version control skills with Git and a commitment to testing and code reliability are required.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams are essential.
