Description:

  • Immersive is a fast-growing cybersecurity company in the UK, focused on people-centric cyber resilience.
  • The company helps organizations assess, build, and prove their cyber workforce resilience through realistic simulations and hands-on labs.
  • The Senior Data Engineer will collaborate with Data Analysts and Analytics Engineers to develop, maintain, and refactor customer-facing analytical reporting.
  • This role requires strong technical and communication skills to work cross-functionally and deliver valuable insights to customers.

  • Responsibilities include designing, building, and maintaining high-quality Python applications for reporting, maintaining data pipelines, collaborating on data model changes, and enabling business access to necessary data.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Python programming, with experience in Plotly graphing libraries; experience with Flask and SQLAlchemy is a plus.
  • Experience in maintaining data pipelines, managing infrastructure as code, and implementing data model changes.
  • Familiarity with software engineering best practices, including version control and continuous integration.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL within cloud data warehouses (e.g., BigQuery, Redshift, Snowflake), with comfort in performance optimization, data partitioning, and window functions.
  • Experience with dbt for data transformation, IAC tooling such as Terraform or CloudFormation, and BI tools like Power BI or Looker.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • A driven, curious, and collaborative mindset is essential for success in this role.
