Remote Senior Data Engineer (Senior Engineer II)

Description:

• Rockerbox is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join their Core Data team, responsible for managing live data collection, aggregation, data warehousing, and governance.
• The Senior Data Engineer will work on optimizing data storage, access patterns, and scaling pipelines, contributing to product-driven projects.
• The role requires expertise in data warehouses like Redshift and Snowflake, as well as knowledge of data lakes, NoSQL databases, and technologies for event processing and orchestration.
• Successful candidates will collaborate in a team-focused environment and influence product evolution as Rockerbox expands its customer base.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience as a data engineer, with proficiency in data modeling, architecture, and crafting modern data pipelines using AWS technologies.
• Expertise in SQL, Python, version control, CI/CD, and mentoring engineers in data warehousing and pipelines.
• Ability to simplify complex topics in written and verbal communication, lead technical projects, and align stakeholders around project plans.
• Product mindset to address business needs and deliver scalable data solutions.
