Description:
The Senior Data Engineer (Senior Software Engineer II) at Rockerbox will be responsible for building scalable, resilient, well-monitored, and cost-efficient data ingests and pipelines.
They will share knowledge with other engineers through design and code reviews and maintain effective patterns in the engineering codebase.
As a tech lead, they will collaborate with Product Managers and cross-functional teams to design solutions meeting business requirements.
The candidate will identify and evaluate emerging technologies, tools, and trends to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in engineering processes.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate should have 7+ years of experience as a data engineer with extensive experience working with AWS services.
Prior experience working with Redshift and Kubernetes (K8s) is required.
Experience with ingesting data from third party APIs is preferred, along with familiarity with modern orchestration tools like Airflow and Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform.
They should have some experience mentoring engineers and the ability to simplify complex topics in both written and verbal communication.
Technical project leadership experience and a product mindset to embrace business needs and produce scalable data/engineering solutions are essential.
