Remote Senior Data Engineer (Senior Engineer II) - Integrations

Description:

• Rockerbox is seeking a Senior Data Engineer (Senior Software Engineer II) to join the Integrations team responsible for mission-critical data pipelines.
• The role involves building scalable, resilient, well-monitored, and cost-efficient data ingests and pipelines.
• Responsibilities include sharing knowledge through design and code reviews, maintaining effective patterns in the engineering codebase, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to design solutions meeting business requirements.
• The ideal candidate will have expertise in AWS (Redshift), Kubernetes (K8s), and Python.
• The position requires a passion for contributing to a team-focused, dynamic environment and influencing product evolution as the company expands its reach.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience as a data engineer with extensive AWS services experience.
• Prior experience with Redshift and Kubernetes (K8s).
• Preferred experience in ingesting data from third-party APIs and modern orchestration tools like Airflow.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) is preferred.
• Ability to simplify complex topics in written and verbal communication.
• Technical project leadership experience and the ability to bring stakeholders together around project plans and architectures.
• Product mindset to address business needs and deliver scalable data/engineering solutions.
