Description:
Rockerbox empowers marketing executives to make data-driven decisions, helping companies like Tula, Figs, and Burton with strategic decision-making that drives growth.
The Integrations team manages and scales data pipelines that ingest marketing data from third-party APIs, ensuring it is validated, aggregated, and delivered seamlessly to customers.
As a Senior Data Engineer, you will tackle technical challenges to build scalable, resilient, and cost-efficient data systems.
You will collaborate across teams to design solutions that meet customers' emerging needs, mentor other engineers, and continuously seek ways to enhance engineering processes.
You will scope and own projects to build, improve, and maintain scalable data ingests and pipelines.
You will design and implement solutions that are resilient, well-monitored, and cost-effective.
You will lead technical initiatives, working closely with Product Managers and cross-functional teams to develop clear, detailed technical specifications.
You will share knowledge with peers through design and code reviews, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
You will evaluate emerging technologies and tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness in engineering processes.
Requirements:
You must have 7+ years of experience as a Data Engineer and deep expertise in AWS services, preferably Redshift.
You should be proficient with Python and have experience working with Kubernetes (K8s).
You must be comfortable ingesting data from third-party APIs and familiar with modern orchestration tools, such as Airflow.
Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform) should be second nature to you.
You should have experience mentoring engineers and enjoy sharing your knowledge, particularly in areas like data warehousing, pipelines, and architecture.
You must possess a product mindset, balancing technical excellence with business needs to deliver scalable solutions.
You should be able to communicate complex topics clearly, whether writing technical specs or aligning stakeholders around a project plan.

The position offers a base salary of $175,000 along with equity options.
