Description:

  • Rockerbox empowers marketing executives to make data-driven decisions, assisting brands like Tula, Figs, and Burton with strategic decision-making for growth.
  • The company offers a unique suite of product lines that centralize data and provide diversified measurement methodologies.
  • The Integrations team is responsible for mission-critical data pipelines that ingest marketing data from 3rd Party APIs.
  • This team also manages systems that deliver value to customers through data collection, validation, aggregation, and delivery.
  • Successful candidates will have expertise in the AWS environment (Redshift) and Kubernetes (K8s), along with deep Python expertise.
  • Candidates should be passionate about contributing to a team-focused, dynamic environment and eager to influence product evolution as the company expands its customer base.
  • Responsibilities include scoping and owning projects for scalable, resilient, well-monitored, and cost-efficient data ingests and pipelines, sharing knowledge through design and code reviews, maintaining effective engineering patterns, working with Product Managers and cross-functional teams, and evaluating emerging technologies to improve engineering processes.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 7+ years of experience as a data engineer and extensive experience with AWS services.
  • Prior experience working with Redshift is required.
  • Candidates should have prior experience with Kubernetes (K8s).
  • Experience with ingesting data from third-party APIs is preferred.
  • Familiarity with modern orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow) is preferred.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform) is preferred.
  • Some experience mentoring engineers is required, with a desire to apply expertise in mentorship situations, especially in data warehousing and pipelines.
  • Candidates must be able to simplify complex topics in both written and verbal communication.
  • Technical project leadership experience and strong communication skills to unite stakeholders around project plans and architecture are necessary.
  • A product mindset to embrace business needs and produce scalable data/engineering solutions is essential.
