Description:

  • Webflow is seeking a Senior Data Infrastructure Engineer to join their Data Platform team.
  • This role involves building robust, secure, and scalable infrastructure that supports data operations.
  • Responsibilities include optimizing the performance of data services and automating infrastructure management.
  • The engineer will integrate and manage components like Kafka, Spark, and Airflow.
  • The position is remote-first, available to candidates in the United States and parts of Canada.
  • The role is full-time, permanent, and exempt.
  • The cash compensation is based on geographic location and experience, with specific pay zones outlined for the U.S. and Canada.
  • The engineer will report to the Senior Engineering Manager.
  • Key tasks include provisioning infrastructure using Pulumi, managing clusters, configuring VPCs, and ensuring compliance with regulations like GDPR.
  • The engineer will also oversee S3 data lake management, implement caching strategies, and develop automation tools for other engineering teams.
  • Participation in engineering activities such as incident response, code review, and mentoring junior engineers is expected.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 5+ years of experience as a Data Infrastructure Engineer or in related roles such as Platform Engineer, SRE, DevOps, or Backend Engineer.
  • Strong experience with data infrastructure components like Kafka, Spark, and Airflow is required.
  • Proficiency with cloud services and environments, including compute, storage, and networking, is necessary.
  • Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes is essential.
  • Expertise in infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform and Pulumi is required.
  • A solid understanding of networking concepts, including VPCs and load balancers, is necessary.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools is required.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills are necessary.
