Description:
The Senior Data Intelligence Analyst will leverage data, information management tools, subject matter experts, and competitive intelligence to develop critical analyses that support enterprise-wide strategic decision-making at manufacturers, service providers, regulators, and researchers.
This position is eligible for Fully Remote status under the CRFlex program for candidates living more than 75 miles from one of the main office locations (Yonkers, NY, Washington DC, Colchester, CT).
The successful candidate must reside in one of the following locations: Arizona, California, Connecticut, Illinois, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, New York, Texas, Vermont, or Washington D.C.
Responsibilities include delivering data, research, analysis, and recommendations for the Data Intelligence Program, focusing on insights through reports or analytics dashboards for external audiences.
The analyst will collaborate closely with CR’s Statistics & Data Science leader and other key subject matter experts to ensure best practices and consistent analyses.
The role involves making Consumer Reports' mission, vision, and strategic plan the lens through which research is conducted and recommendations are made.
The analyst will contribute to the development of Tableau dashboards and support data collection and dissemination.
The position requires partnering with key liaisons on the collection, aggregation, and analysis of data from multiple internal and external sources to drive insights into business actions.
The analyst will provide reporting solutions and respond to ad-hoc report requests, leveraging team resources to prepare comprehensive analyses using optimal data sources.
Other duties may be assigned, but not those of a higher level.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Informatics, or Data Science is required, with graduate work (MBA, MLS) preferred.
Candidates should have at least 5-7 years of experience in a data, analytics, or research environment.
Excellent skills in managing large amounts of data, including extracting, transforming, and loading data, as well as exploring, mining, and graphing data are necessary.
Knowledge of SQL or Python is desired.
Understanding and ability to conduct statistical analysis is preferred.
Exceptional writing skills and the ability to turn data into narrative content appealing to a wide variety of audiences are required.
The ability to organize data and information into client-usable formats is beneficial, along with experience in synthesizing and analyzing data and interpreting it into recommendations and actions.
Strong exposure to Tableau is a plus.
Candidates should have the ability to manage complex projects, meet deadlines, and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
