Remote Senior Data Platform Infrastructure Engineer - Industry

Description:

• Truelogic is seeking a Senior Data Platform Infrastructure Engineer to design and build scalable data platforms, optimize data pipelines, and drive innovation.
• The role requires experience with Python, Snowflake, Terraform, AWS, SQL, Airflow, and DBT.
• The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance data operations and develop robust, high-performance infrastructure solutions.
• Responsibilities include designing and building a highly scalable data platform, tracking and implementing new technologies, delivering reliable data solutions, and improving data gathering and reporting capabilities.
• The engineer will work closely with Data Engineers, Data Analysts, Data Scientists, Product Owners, and Domain Experts to identify data needs and develop processes to monitor and improve data operations.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 10+ years of experience as an infrastructure/data platform/big data software engineer.
• Experience with AWS/GCP cloud services such as GCS/S3, Lambda/Cloud Function, EMR/Dataproc, Glue/Dataflow, and Athena is required.
• Candidates should have IaC design experience and hands-on experience.
• Familiarity with designing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Github Actions, or similar tools is necessary.
• Experience in designing, building, and maintaining enterprise systems in a big data environment on public cloud is essential.
• Strong SQL abilities and hands-on experience with SQL for analysis and performance optimizations are required.
• Candidates must have hands-on experience in Python or an equivalent programming language.
• Experience with administering data warehouse solutions like Bigquery, Redshift, or Snowflake is necessary.
• Experience with data modeling, data catalog concepts, and ETL design, implementation, and maintenance is required.
• Experience with Airflow and DBT is an advantage.
• Experience with Kubernetes using GKE or EKS is also an advantage.
