Description:

The Senior Data Reliability Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the operational availability, security, performance, scalability, efficiency, monitoring, instrumentation, integrity, and overall service reliability of Everbridge's data tier.
This role involves collaborating across Agile teams with Architects, Developers, Quality, Security, and other Operations engineers to design and implement highly reliable data solutions.
The engineer will develop and enhance automated tooling and processes that extend operability and self-service of the data tier.
Embracing Database Reliability Engineering principles, the engineer will focus on proactivity, automation, cross-functional collaboration, data-driven decision making, and fast+safe failing to improve technology and culture.
Participation in a rotating on-call schedule to troubleshoot and resolve production escalations is required.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 3+ years of experience in production database and site reliability, database administration, dev-ops, or SaaS Technical Operations.
Experience with Terraform, Salt, MongoDB, and any CI toolkit (such as Jenkins or Gitlab) is required.
A minimum of 3 years of experience with cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS, is necessary.
Candidates should have at least 1 year of coding experience in one programming language, such as Python, Perl, Java, or Go.
