Remote Senior Data Scientist

Description:

• MNTN is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to guide the analysis, methodologies, prototypes, and evolution of their performance system.
• The role involves leading other data scientists, data engineers, and machine learning experts while collaborating with Product Owners, Data Analysts, Software Engineers, and other stakeholders.
• Responsibilities include becoming the end-to-end expert on the campaign optimization platform, identifying business opportunities and gaps in data insights, and leading discussions with both technical and non-technical functions.
• The Senior Data Scientist will propose, implement, and evaluate mechanisms to connect event data across various platforms and partner with product teams to experiment with new features and evaluate their impact.
• The position requires utilizing a variety of mathematical techniques and communicating findings to stakeholders, including vice presidents and C-suite executives.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in experimentation, A/B testing, causal analysis, machine learning, look-alike modeling, ranking, or equivalent. Advanced degrees in relevant fields may substitute for some years of experience.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, Jupyter Notebooks, R, or similar languages is required, along with a history of technical mentoring.
• Hands-on experience with NoSQL, Spark, Hive, BigQuery, Databricks, Snowflake, or similar technologies is essential.
