  • Craver is hiring a Senior Data Scientist to help lead data initiatives as the company continues to grow.
  • The role involves delivering quality software and innovative solutions by solving complex problems using cutting-edge technologies and excellent software development practices.
  • The Senior Data Scientist will join the Product and Engineering team, responsible for maintaining and building all aspects of Mobile, Web, Restaurant, and Admin clients and infrastructure.
  • The position is part of an Agile organization that works iteratively and incrementally, applying a Lean mindset to achieve shared goals.
  • The role offers considerable impact and autonomy to shape the strategic and tactical approach to data.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must be passionate about data and have a proven track record of leading data initiatives that drive business impact.
  • The ideal candidate should excel at leading and mentoring teams while fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Deep expertise in data quality and the ability to implement robust testing and validation frameworks is required.
  • Extensive experience with Agile methodologies and the ability to lead teams through complex data projects is essential.
  • Candidates should be experts in MLOps/DevOps/DataOps practices and capable of establishing these practices across teams.
  • A thought leader who stays current with the latest developments in data science and can evaluate and implement new technologies is preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL and Python, with experience building complex data systems, is necessary.
  • Extensive experience with cloud platforms (GCP preferred, AWS/Azure accepted) and modern data architectures is required.
  • Candidates must excel at stakeholder management and effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Deep statistical knowledge to guide strategic decisions through statistical analysis is essential.
  • Strong incident management experience and the ability to lead teams through critical situations are required.
  • Exceptional communication skills to influence at all levels of the organization are necessary.
  • Typically, candidates should have 6+ years of professional data science experience and an advanced degree (Masters or PhD preferred) in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of leading data science initiatives in a fast-paced environment and experience building and leading data teams are required.
  • Demonstrated expertise in machine learning and statistical modeling, along with a strong technical background in distributed systems and big data technologies, is necessary.
