Description:
GoFundMe is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to enhance product analytics and data science operations.
The role involves leading the design, analysis, and interpretation of projects from data requirement gathering to processing, modeling, and business recommendations.
The candidate will collaborate with product leadership to develop and monitor KPIs, presenting emerging trends and actionable insights.
Responsibilities include driving A/B testing through the entire experimentation life cycle and using advanced analytics to generate insights for the business.
The position requires identifying and disseminating best practices in tools, systems, and processes across the team.
The Senior Data Scientist will partner cross-functionally to identify new analytical opportunities and collaborate with data and engineering teams to design scalable instrumentation.
The role also involves contributing to ELT processes, developing user-friendly dashboards, and performing ad hoc analyses.
This is a remote position, specifically for candidates located in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in building data analytics and science projects.
Advanced skills in data segmentation and manipulation using SQL and Python are required.
Experience with a wide range of statistical and machine learning methods to solve business problems is necessary.
Expertise in multivariate and A/B testing is essential.
Advanced experience in using Python for statistical analysis, predictive analytics, and machine learning is required.
Deep experience with SQL for writing scalable data transformations is necessary.
Data visualization skills and experience with BI tools such as Tableau or Looker are required.
Candidates should be able to organize, prioritize, and assist with business requests while managing stakeholder expectations.
Strong presentation skills are necessary to author and present insights to leadership and influence decision-makers.
Knowledge of event tracking, database architecture, and machine learning is a plus.
A Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Physics, Economics, or Engineering is preferred.
