Description:

• As a Senior Data Scientist at Roofstacks, you will utilize your expertise in data analysis, machine learning, and statistical modeling to enhance video streaming services and personalize content for users.
• You will develop and implement advanced algorithms and data-driven strategies, including personalized content recommendations and location-based analysis, to optimize user engagement and improve content delivery on the platform.
• Key responsibilities include designing, developing, and implementing advanced machine learning models and statistical algorithms to optimize video streaming performance and user experience.
• You will analyze large datasets, including user engagement metrics, viewing history, geographical data, and network performance, to extract meaningful patterns, trends, and insights.
• Your role will involve developing and optimizing algorithms for personalized content recommendations, user segmentation, and location-based content delivery.
• Collaboration with engineering and product teams will be essential to integrate predictive models into production systems that enhance video streaming quality and content personalization.
• You will utilize AWS data science products (e.g., Amazon SageMaker, AWS Lambda, Amazon Redshift) to build and deploy scalable machine learning models and data pipelines.
• Conducting exploratory data analysis and generating actionable insights to enhance video streaming efficiency, user satisfaction, and content personalization strategies will be part of your responsibilities.
• Staying updated with the latest industry trends, techniques, and technologies in data science, machine learning, video streaming, and cloud computing is crucial.
• You will mentor junior data scientists and contribute to the development of the team’s technical expertise.
• Communicating findings and insights to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner is also a key aspect of the role.

Requirements:

• A Master’s or Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field is required.
• You should have 5+ years of experience in data science or a related field, with a strong emphasis on machine learning, predictive modeling, and statistical analysis.
• Experience in video streaming analytics, video quality optimization, content recommendation systems, or location-based content delivery is necessary.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Scala is required.
• Strong experience with machine learning libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn) and data manipulation tools (e.g., Pandas, NumPy) is essential.
• Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or similar frameworks is needed.
• Knowledge of video encoding, compression algorithms, and adaptive bitrate streaming is important.
• Expertise in personalization techniques, such as collaborative filtering, content-based filtering, and location-based analytics is required.
• Experience with AWS data science products and services, such as Amazon SageMaker, AWS Lambda, Amazon Redshift, and other AWS cloud-based tools is necessary.
