Remote Senior Data Scientist

Description:

• We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Data Scientist to join our team and play a crucial role in optimizing the new player experience and overall performance of our games with an emphasis on Warframe Mobile.
• You will be responsible for analyzing large datasets, building predictive models, and generating actionable insights to improve player engagement and retention.
• Responsibilities include analyzing player behavior during the first-time user experience (FTUE) to identify areas of friction and opportunities for improvement.
• You will develop and implement A/B testing strategies to optimize onboarding flows, tutorials, and early game mechanics.
• Building predictive models to identify players at risk of churn and developing targeted interventions to improve retention is also part of your role.
• You will track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as player engagement, retention, monetization, and virality.
• Analyzing player behavior data to understand game mechanics, identify imbalances, and optimize game design is essential.
• You will develop dashboards and reports to communicate insights to stakeholders and inform data-driven decision-making.
• Applying statistical and machine learning techniques to analyze large datasets of player behavior, in-game events, and economic activity is required.
• You will build predictive models to forecast player behavior, optimize game parameters, and personalize the player experience.
• Developing and maintaining data pipelines to ensure data quality and accessibility is part of your responsibilities.
• Collaboration with game designers, product managers, and engineers to translate data insights into actionable game improvements is necessary.
• You will communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences through clear visualizations and presentations.
• Staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in data science and mobile gaming trends is expected.

Requirements:

• You must have 5+ years of experience as a Data Scientist, with a focus on mobile gaming or a related industry.
• Strong programming skills in Python or R are required.
• Expertise in statistical modeling, machine learning, and data mining techniques is essential.
• Experience with big data technologies is necessary.
• Proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools is required.
• A deep understanding of game mechanics, economies, and player behavior is essential.
• Experience with A/B testing and experimental design is required.
• Familiarity with game analytics platforms and tools is necessary.
