Remote Senior Data Scientist

Description:

• The Senior Data Scientist position at Fusemachines is a remote, 3-month contract-based engagement with a possibility of extension.
• The role involves utilizing AI and machine learning expertise to develop algorithms and models for solving business challenges.
• Responsibilities include designing and executing experiments to evaluate model performance, working with Large Language Models (LLM) for scalable solutions, and collaborating with software engineers for integration into production systems.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience in AI and machine learning, with strong coding skills in Python.
• Master's or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Deep understanding of NLP, including text classifier, re-ranker, and topic modeling.
• Experience with large language models like BERT, RoBERTa, T5, and recent LLMs such as ChatGPT, GPT 3.5, OPT, BLOOM.
• Proficiency in reinforcement learning, prompt engineering, DevOps, building APIs, and managing algorithms across multiple work streams.
• Familiarity with working on large datasets and distributed computing systems like Hadoop and Spark.
• Excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, dedication to project success, and collaborative behavior.
